How to get there?
Sydney to Katoomba
It is so convenient to get to the Blue Mountains. There are trains available from Central Station every half an hour before 0900 and every hour after 0900. Ride up takes about approximately 2 hours so you can just take a nap if you start off your day too early. You will pass by Parramatta, Westmead, Penrith and Springwood however the right station to alight is Katoomba. You will only need to use your Opal card to get to the top of the Blue Mountains. The first available train departs at 0423 and last available train departs at 0018 from Central station.
Katoomba to Sydney
For weekdays, the first available train departs at 0302 and for weekends and holidays, the first available train departs at 0438.

Train fare can be paid with Opal card!
Peak Hours: 8.69 AUD
Non - Peak Hours: 6.08 AUD
When is the best time to go up?
Warm: December - February
Cool: March - May
Cold: June - August
